Byron barely beat Zumbrota-Mazeppa the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over the Cougars on Wednesday. That looming 12-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bears yet this season.

Byron has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Zumbrota-Mazeppa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
