The Holdrege Dusters won the last time they faced the Broken Bow Indians, and things went their way on Friday too. Holdrege blew past Broken Bow 61-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for Holdrege.
Leading Holdrege to victory were Wyatt Pfeifer and Garret Johnson. Pfeifer scored 15 points, while Johnson scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least 25% of Holdrege's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kegan Steinke, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds.
Holdrege's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Broken Bow, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Holdrege will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Ogallala at 6:30 p.m. As for Broken Bow, they will head out on the road to face off against Minden on Friday.
