The West Henderson Falcons entered their tilt with the Pisgah Bears with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. West Henderson came out on top against Pisgah by a score of 47-39 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Henderson also won the last time the pair played back in January.
West Henderson was led to victory by Kayden Lyda and Jania Wilson. Lyda scored six points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Wilson scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Lyda has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Allison Justus, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Pisgah's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dot Mills, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Mills is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played. Macey Devlin was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
West Henderson is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Pisgah, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6.
