Oak Hall was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in 2A District 2. The Eagles vanquished Munroe 21-12 earlier in the week.
University Christian made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,906 from 2,266.
Oak Hall's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Danny Stirt threw for 38 yards and Brad Pita had 30 yards receiving. On the ground Nathan Koons chipped in 75 yards. Josh Noble helped Oak Hall's passing attack out by catching one ball for eight yards.
St. Francis Catholic's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tommy Ferry has thrown for 857 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Steve Bunde has 21 catches for 378 yards. Christian Wallace leads the league in rushing with 594 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Eagle's View takes on the Christians. The Warriors' offense has scored 183 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while University Christian has allowed only 113 on the year.
A big matchup in 2A District 2 this week will be when David Penland's team takes on Eagle's View. The Christians are currently in first, while Ryan Keith's team is in third.
