Before a Homecoming crowd and portable lights — the Padres do it once a year — Serra (6-0, 3-0) fought back from a two-touchdown deficit to score 28 unanswered points and post a 35-29 West Catholic Athletic League over the Monarchs (4-2, 2-1).
In other Top 25 Bay Area play, top-ranked De La Salle racked up more than 530 yards of offense, led 49-7 at halftime en route to a 70-7 victory over previously unbeaten California.
