Basketball Recap: Heathwood Hall Episcopal Piles Up the Points Against Cardinal Newman

Heathwood Hall Episcopal won the last time they faced Cardinal Newman and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders breezed by the Cardinal Newman Cardinals to the tune of 74-27. Given the Highlanders' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Cardinals are ranked 184th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heathwood Hall Episcopal to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lauren Jacobs, who went 10 for 15 en route to 24 points. Jacobs' evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. SaBreya Monsanto was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 10 points along with eight boards and six assists.
