Exeter has been on the road for four straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the School of the Ozarks Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Exeter will be strutting in after a win while School of the Ozarks will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Exeter has not done well against Verona recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Exeter secured a 46-40 W over Verona.
Meanwhile, School of the Ozarks was the victim of a tough 60-35 defeat at the hands of Blue Eye on Thursday. School of the Ozarks has not had much luck with Blue Eye recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the defeat, School of the Ozarks saw an underclassman step up: Timba Saffle scored 10 points. The contest was Saffle's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shadrach Thompson, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds.
The losses dropped Exeter to 2-2 and Verona to 1-4.
Exeter came out on top in a nail-biter against School of the Ozarks when the teams last played back in February, sneaking past 34-31. Will Exeter repeat their success, or does School of the Ozarks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
