After a string of five wins, The Davenport Wolves''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 41-31 to Burnet. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Triston Hamlin and Barrett Fallon certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Hamlin threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns, while Fallon rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown. Hamlin hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for four straight games.
Davenport's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Burnet, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davenport will take on Marble Falls at 9:50 p.m. on Thursday. Marble Falls is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Burnet, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
