The Tucker Tigers and the Statesboro Blue Devils squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Tucker Tigers had to settle for second. Tucker suffered a rough 49-28 defeat at the hands of Statesboro. Tucker has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Defeat or not, Tucker got some senior leadership from Jordan Mccoy who rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown and Jamar Graham who threw for 71 yards and a touchdown. Mccoy was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 51 yards. Dallas Kelly got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Tucker's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Statesboro, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7.
Tucker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Statesboro will head out on the road to face off against Harris County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harris County is coming into the match hot, having won their last ten games.
