The Catalina Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Empire, falling 58-21. Catalina has not had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Empire got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was JENNA RIDLEY out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine steals. RIDLEY is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. TALISSA DURAN was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
Catalina's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Empire, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-18.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Catalina will square off against the Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Empire, they will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
