They really took it to Evangel Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-31 win at home. Edgewood Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Edgewood Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lexie Smith out in front who scored 23 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lindsey Brown, who scored 23 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Evangel Christian still got an impressive performance from Hannah Benson, who scored nine points.
Edgewood Academy pushed their record up to 22-3 with that win, which was their 22nd straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Evangel Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.
