Mater Dei had won four straight games and Ava Lampe did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Knights walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Fairfield Mules thanks in part to Lampe, who had 13 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Mater Dei easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15.

Mater Dei's win bumped their record up to 25-6. As for Fairfield, they dropped their record down to 21-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Mater Dei didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Lincoln on the 24th. As for Fairfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Benton on the 25th.
