Dominic Riccardi made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
As for Cleveland Heights, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-13. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Cleveland Heights' side, Parker Polk was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Polk also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Cleveland Heights is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-12 otherwise. Polk was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Cleveland Heights got a massive performance out of James Betti, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Betti has become a key player for the Tigers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-13 otherwise. Torrey Howard was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Looking ahead, Brooklyn will welcome Rhodes at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricanes will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Cleveland Heights, they are taking a road trip to face off against Medina at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Bees have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
