After flying high against the Skiatook Bulldogs last Friday, The Oologah Mustangs came back down to earth. Oologah took a 36-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Miami on Thursday. Oologah was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Miami apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Hunter Nichols continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Miami, rushing for 221 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Nichols is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Logan Sumagpang did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 93 receiving yards.
Oologah now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Miami, the victory was the third in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oologah will take on Cushing at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. As for Miami, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
