Gatlinburg-Pittman can now show off 18 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They breezed by Fulton at home to the tune of 72-36. With Gatlinburg-Pittman ahead 35-15 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Nya Burns and Maddy Newman were among the main playmakers for Gatlinburg-Pittman as the former scored 23 points and the latter almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Newman hasn't dropped below 16 points for 18 straight games. Another player making a difference was Maliyah Glasper, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Alcoa's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a serious blow against Gatlinburg-Pittman, falling 58-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Alcoa has scored all season.
Gatlinburg-Pittman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-2 record this season. As for Alcoa, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-4.
