Como-Pickton has won four straight games at home, while Alba-Golden has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Eagles will welcome the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Alba-Golden took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Como-Pickton, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Como-Pickton was able to grind out a solid victory over Martins Mill, taking the game 6-1.
DANE OUD made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Alba-Golden's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Big Sandy by a score of 5-4.
Like Como-Pickton, Alba-Golden also got a great game from a two-way player: Mason Smith. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off only two hits. Smith was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Smith wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Landon Dunham, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Another was Brett Sutton, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Como-Pickton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Alba-Golden, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-7.
Como-Pickton might still be hurting after the 14-2 defeat they got from Alba-Golden when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
