The Seymour Eagles have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 52-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cocke County on Tuesday. If Seymour hoped to take revenge for the 37-34 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Cocke County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adisen Mcnealy, who scored 14 points. Halle Kitchen was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists.
Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Cocke County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Seymour will take on Anderson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cocke County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
