In what's become a running theme this season, the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 60-37 margin over Metro Christian. Given Lincoln Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Patriots are ranked 195th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lincoln Christian found their leader in underclassman Maddi Stewart, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Stewart is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Audrey Hopkins was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Lincoln Christian pushed their record up to 18-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Metro Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Savages at 6:15 p.m. on February 3rd. As for Metro Christian, they will be playing at home against the Flame at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
