The Wendover Wildcats put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Lund as Wendover made off with a 47-22 win. 47 seems to be a good number for Wendover as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Leading Wendover to victory were Millie Hicks and Paulina Gomez. Hicks scored 15 points, while Gomez scored 19 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Gomez has scored at least 25% of Wendover's points. Another player making a difference was Kadence Murphy, who scored 3 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
Wendover's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Lund, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wendover will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Joseph at 4:30 p.m. on December 15th. Lund will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against West Wendover at 10:45 a.m. on December 2nd.
