The biggest upset of the week belonged to Roxbury Latin, who took down 77th ranked Roxbury Latin, 35-34.
Noble & Greenough was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 14th to 11th in Independent School. The Bulldogs vanquished the Foxes 35-34 earlier in the week.
Thayer Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jack Becker threw for 223 and two touchdowns and Conor O'Brien had 74 yards receiving. On the ground Aaron Gilmer chipped in 60 yards. Jerome Archi helped Thayer Academy's passing attack out by catching four balls for 54 yards.
Thayer Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Becker has thrown for 1085 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Bryan Vieira has 22 catches for 484 yards. Gilmer leads the league in rushing with 440 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Buckingham Browne & Nichols takes on Roxbury Latin. The Knights are in seventh place, while Pat Ross' team is in third place.
Milton Academy was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Rivers. The Mustangs came in at 20 in the state poll after placing at number 93 last week.
