Page came out on top against Grimsley on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run seventh inning. The Pirates had just enough and edged out the Whirlies 17-15. The game was the first time the Pirates have beaten the Whirlies on their field since April 24, 2023.
Nora Glasgo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up eight earned (and seven unearned) runs off 12 hits. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Moriya Morgan was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Jaslyn Marshall was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Page and bumps their season record up to 8-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Ben L. Smith, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Ben L. Smith has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .440.
