The Fivay Falcons waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 77-70 victory over Excel Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fivay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jose Morales, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 1 assist. Jamarian Miller was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Fivay is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Excel Christian Academy, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5.
Fivay will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. East Lake is on a ten-game streak of home wins, the Falcons a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Excel Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
