 Meanwhile, Wakefield Memorial had already won two in a row, and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Marauders by a score of  3-1.
 Wakefield Memorial was staring down a 1-0 deficit headed into the second set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 27-25, 25-18,  25-17.
 Melrose's loss  ended  a  13-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 3-1. As for Wakefield Memorial, their win was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 3-0.
