The Wakulla Christian School Saints will head out on the road to face off against the Bay Tornadoes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bay will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Wakulla Christian School extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday. Everything went the Saints' way against Gadsden County as they made off with a 25-4 win. That 21 run margin sets a new team best for the Saints this season.
Grace Johnson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off only two hits. Johnson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alexah Brown, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Milena Carns was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Bay never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Gadsden County. The Tornadoes haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
McKenna Case was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of CaNylah Julius, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Bay lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Bay's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Wakulla Christian School, their record is now 7-3.
Wakulla Christian School might still be hurting after the 18-7 loss they got from Bay in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Saints avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
