Given Bishop Noland Episcopal Day's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool is ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jordan Buckhalter was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with five assists and four steals. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Kuehn, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Bishop Noland Episcopal Day's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9.
