4A Tri-Nine recap Sept. 26, 2012
Green Hope was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to third in 4A Tri-Nine. Earlier in the week, the Falcons defeated Apex 13-7.
Fuquay-Varina moved up to 129 from 166 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 21-13 win over Panther Creek helped the Bengals improve their standing.
Green Hope's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Chris Tutwiler threw for 258 yards and Eddie  Auslander had 95 yards receiving. On the ground Tutwiler chipped in 32 yards. Mitchell Chalker helped Green Hope's passing attack out by catching six balls for 91 yards.
Kwame Dixon's team's Tutwiler and Chalker have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Tutwiler has thrown for 1130 yards this season, while Chalker, a 5-foot-7 receiver, has 22 catches for 336 yards. Dominique Lynch from Athens Drive leads the league in rushing with 645 yards.
Two of the top units in 4A Tri-Nine will face off this week when the Falcons take on Fuquay-Varina. Green Hope's offense has racked up 139 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Ryan Habich's team has allowed only 157 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Lee County takes on Cary. Lee County is currently in second, while the Imps are in sixth.
Charles Arrington's team took down Northwood 35-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
