Chavez came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Ontario Christian Knights by a score of 3-1.

Eduardo Sicaja and Emilio Pineda scored all three of Chavez's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Chavez has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those eight contests. As for Ontario Christian, they moved to 4-3-3 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chavez will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Monroe at 4:00 p.m. on January 15, 2025. Ontario Christian also won't see the pitch for a while: their next matchup is against Arrowhead Christian at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
