Baseball Recap: Eagleton College & Career Academy's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Eagleton College & Career Academy waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over Apostolic Christian. Considering the Royals have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Willard King was incredible, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayce Simon, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Eagleton College & Career Academy pushed their record up to 15-11-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Apostolic Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, Eagleton College & Career Academy and Apostolic Christian will both be playing Apostolic Christian Academy the next time they take the field. The Royals will host the Flames at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Apostolic Christian will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
