Grayson Holland looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Southampton Academy got a massive performance out of Ethan Webb, who scored three runs and stole Five bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Webb a new career-high in stolen bases. Landon Cushing was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
Kenston Forest's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.3 runs. As for Southampton Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
