The Brush Arcs will venture away from home to face off against the Rhodes Rams at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Brush took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Maple Heights as they made off with a 20-5 win. The Arcs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

James Gardner and Deshawn Dammons made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Gardner tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Dammons struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2025. At the plate, Gardner got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs and one RBI, while Dammons got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base was Dammons' first of the season.
In other batting news, Brush let Geofferson Betts and Isaac Sypniewski run wild. Betts went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs, while Sypniewski went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Sypniewski has posted since back in April of 2025. Jayden Amey also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Brush always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Maple Heights only posted an OBP of .400.
Meanwhile, Rhodes strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against John Marshall by a score of 9-4. The nine-run effort marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Jose Trejo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Roberto Benetiz was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Loagen Somodji was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Rhodes' record now sits at 5-0. As for Brush, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
