If Tyngsborough was riding high off their 35-6 takedown of Quabbin Regional last Friday, that ride came to an abrupt end. It was close but no cigar for Tyngsborough as they fell 24-21 to Oakmont Regional on Friday. Tyngsborough's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Tyngsborough's overall record now falls to 7-1. Oakmont Regional's victory brought them up to 6-2.
The Tigers will square off against Groton-Dunstable at 10 a.m. ET in four weeks. Oakmont Regional will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against Lunenburg at 10 a.m. ET. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Oakmont Regional has to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps rankings on their side for this one.
