It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lafayette Central Catholic had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Benton Central Bison with a sharp 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won 12 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Lafayette Central Catholic has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Benton Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.
