Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Huntington walked away with it. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Whitney Wildcats on Saturday. Considering the Red Devils have won 17 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Huntington, bringing their record up to 30-7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Whitney, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-13.

Huntington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 victory against Whitney on the 24th. The Wildcats does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
