Fans got a thrill when Caleb Lewis and Nekari Jones connected against Coral Springs Christian. The connection went for 71 yards, the longest such play in 2A District 4 this season.
Agape Christian Academy lost to Lakeland Christian 47-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Jeff Rose threw for 72 yards and 39 touchdowns.
Lewis provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Victory Christian Academy bested the Crusaders. He completed 6 passes for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 16 yards. Lewis' favorite target this week was Jones, who caught 4 passes for 105 yards.
Kevin Coy was the best running back in the league this week. In 6 carries, he ran for 89 yards as the Storm bested Coral Springs Christian. Chris Nelson also contributed to the rushing game with 37 yards on the ground.
Victory Christian Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Storm feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lewis has thrown for 2,220 yards and 26 touchdowns this season, while Jones has 67 catches for 983 yards.
Victory Christian Academy's Jones is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 17 receiving yards against St. Edward's to hit that benchmark. So far this year, he has acheived 67 catches for 983 yards.
Tommy Lewis' team led the league in scoring this week by notching 44 points on Donnell Bennett's team. Lewis ran for 16 yards in the win.
