They came out on top against Georgia Force Christian by a score of 78-71 on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fideles Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Xander Lipinski, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Gabe Reynolds was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Georgia Force Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Shepard Acton. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Acton has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Mccarn, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Fideles Christian's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Georgia Force Christian, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fideles Christian will challenge the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Scholars Guild Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Georgia Force Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
