Bishop Timon-St. Jude hasn't had much luck against St. Francis recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Raiders at 6:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
On Saturday, Bishop Timon-St. Jude got the win against Eastridge by a conclusive 28-7.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Timon-St. Jude to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Fulgham, who rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Fulgham was even better on defense, picking up 3.5 sacks and making seven total tackles (4.0 for loss). The team also got some help courtesy of Javonte Solomon, who rushed for 75 yards and one score.

Bishop Timon-St. Jude didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Julius Afrifa-Irving and Amari Worthy. Worthy is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, St. Francis had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Varsity Opponent 46-6. That looming 46-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Red Raiders yet this season.
St. Francis' win came from a few key players Bishop Timon-St. Jude will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mason Anderson, who picked up 79 receiving yards and three TDs. Trent Buttles was another key player, throwing for 93 yards and three touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: St. Francis was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 263 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 235 rushing yards in three consecutive games.
Bishop Timon-St. Jude's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for St. Francis, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
