Softball Recap: Lake-Lehman Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Lake-Lehman barely beat Berwick the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 8-2 win on Monday. Considering the Knights have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Kirsten Finarelli, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Brudnicki, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Lake-Lehman, bringing their record up to 9-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Berwick, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4.

Lake-Lehman has already played their next match, a 9-1 victory against Holy Redeemer on the 23rd. As for Berwick, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-6 win against Hanover Area on the 23rd.
