The Eupora Eagles lost against the Nanih Waiya Warriors back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Eupora might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Nanih Waiya an easy 46-24 victory. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eupora has scored all season.
Nyshea Hoskin was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points for Nanih Waiya. The matchup was Hoskin's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexzandria Eiland, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Eupora's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Nanih Waiya, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Eupora will be home for the holidays to greet Bruce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bruce is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Nanih Waiya, they will head out on the road to face off against Winona at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Winona will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 239th, while Nanih Waiya is ranked 60th).
