The Cannon County Lions will be playing at home against the Community Vikings/Viqueens at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cannon County will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive.
Cannon County can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 78-27 win over Grundy County. Given Cannon County's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 158th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Community didn't have too much trouble with the Rockets at home on Friday as they won 55-39.
Community got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alyssa White out in front who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. White hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylar Wessner, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Cannon County is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Community, their win bumped their record up to 8-15.
Cannon County strolled past the Vikings/Viqueens in their previous matchup on Wednesday by a score of 57-43. Will Cannon County repeat their success, or do the Vikings/Viqueens have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
