TERRA Environmental will square off against the Homestead Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Even though Ransom Everglades scored an imposing 71 points on Thursday, TERRA Environmental still came out on top. TERRA Environmental took down Ransom Everglades 85-71. Given TERRA Environmental's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Ransom Everglades is ranked 475th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jordan Del Rio, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and five assists. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. RJ Zogbi was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Homestead had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They managed a 60-54 win over the Bison.
Anthony Reed was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Rodriguez, who scored 12 points.
TERRA Environmental has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Homestead, their win bumped their record up to 17-6.
Everything came up roses for TERRA Environmental against Homestead when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 78-35 victory. With TERRA Environmental ahead 52-21 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
