Basketball Recap: First Christian Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

First Christian had won seven straight games and Reagan Davis did her part to make it eight on Thursday. The First Christian Lions breezed by the Gainesville Christian Community Warriors to the tune of 77-20 thanks in part to Davis, who went 10 of 15 en route to 20 points along with five rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 17 or more in the last 17 games she's played dating back to last season.

Another player making a difference was Analy Ellis, who posted eight points in addition to seven assists and three steals. Those seven assists gave her a new career-high.

First Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Gainesville Christian Community, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

First Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-32 victory against Cedar Key on the 17th. As for Gainesville Christian Community, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 49-2 loss against Open Bible Christian on the 17th.
