Lewis County extended the longest winning streak in Big Ten this week by beating Elkins, 27-14. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Minutemen.
North Marion was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 12th to 10th in the league.
Grafton's dynamic duo of Josh Musgrove and Thomas Peters proved tough for Ritchie County to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Musgrove threw for 18 yards and Peters had nine yards receiving. Nate Moses helped Grafton's passing attack out by catching one ball for five yards.
Clayton Collett was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 187 yards on 20 carries as the Tigers fell to the Rebels. Teammate L. J. Lawrence added to the ground attack by rushing for 87 yards.
5-foot-8 quarterback Musgrove of Grafton is the league leader in passing yards this season with 676. He has also thrown three touchdowns. On the ground, Elkins' Lawrence has rushed for 1578 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Shaquille Washington. The Fairmont star has 11 catches for 372 yards.
Bridgeport's Brett Hathaway is a mere 90 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Hathaway has rushed for 910 yards on 169 carries so far this year.
