Teague gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 39-7 win over the New Waverly Bulldogs. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Blake Maggard was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks, forcing two fumbles, and making seven total tackles.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Teague will venture away from home to challenge Tolar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Waverly, they will head out to face off against Orangefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
