Switzerland County was the 55-54 winner over Trinity Lutheran when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Switzerland County Pacers fell to the Trinity Lutheran Cougars 64-59. The Pacers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Switzerland County lost on Friday, don't look at Cam Craig. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 17 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mason Peelman, who posted nine points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Switzerland County was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity Lutheran only posted nine assists.

Trinity Lutheran found their leader in sophomore Reed Mellencamp, who had 27 points and six boards. With that strong performance, Mellencamp is now averaging an impressive 18.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Gillaspy, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Switzerland County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Trinity Lutheran, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Switzerland County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 62-58 loss against Cascade on the 27th. As for Trinity Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-27 defeat against Tippecanoe Valley on the 27th.
