After three games on the road, Pittsfield is heading back home. They will take on the Westfield Bombers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Pittsfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
Pittsfield put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat East Longmeadow 68-34 on the road. With Pittsfield ahead 35-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Pittsfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Stetz, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dezerea Powell, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Westfield's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their eighth straight loss. They fell to East Longmeadow 45-39.
Pittsfield's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Westfield, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Pittsfield against Westfield in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 60-25 win. Will Pittsfield repeat their success, or does Westfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
