South Summit's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They never let the Ben Lomond Scots get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Toshlyn Louder made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Emma Broadbent was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. South Summit's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-8. As for Ben Lomond, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
