Carbon has gone 8-2 against Juab recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Dinos will head out to challenge the Wasps at 3:30 p.m. Carbon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Carbon fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Union on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2. The Dinos haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Kadence Vea spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.
On the hitting side, Brailee Peterson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Juab hadn't done well against Manti recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Wasps were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Templars. The win was familiar territory for the Wasps, who have now won three contests in a row.
Juab got a massive performance out of Jaleigh Burton, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles Burton has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Brinnley Finn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Juab always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Carbon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Juab, their victory bumped their record up to 7-13.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Carbon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. However, it's not like Juab struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Carbon's way against Juab in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Carbon made off with a 14-3 win. Do the Dinos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wasps turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
