Norte Vista was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to third in River Valley. The Braves beat Bloomington 35-0 earlier in the week.
Ramona moved up to 772 from 809 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 27-14 win over the Rams helped the Rams improve their standing.
JD HERNANDEZ provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Patriot. He completed six passes for 62 yards and also ran for 57 yards. HERNANDEZ's favorite target this week was ROBERTO GARCIA, who caught two passes for 26 yards.
MARCUS FRENCH was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 90 yards as the Warriors.
Dane Wadkins put up the best numbers through the air as Moreno Valley beat Pacific. He finished with a total of five completions for 61 yards and one touchdown. Wadkins' favorite target this week was Taliuaki Suliafu, who caught three passes for 25 yards.
5-foot-11 quarterback Wadkins of the Vikings is the league leader in passing yards this season with 584. He has also thrown four touchdowns. On the ground, Patriot's HERNANDEZ has rushed for 489 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Miguel Antolino. The La Sierra star has 14 catches for 220 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Moreno Valley takes on Jurupa Valley. Ted Wadkins's team's offense has racked up 155 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Jaguars have allowed only 211 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Jurupa Valley takes on the Vikings. At the moment, Joe Gerez's team is in fifth, while Moreno Valley is in first.
The Vikings took down the Pirates 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Wadkins ran for 47 yards in the win.
