The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Homer-Center in their matchups with River Valley: they've now lost six in a row.
West Shamokin can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They snuck past Marion Center with a 39-34 victory.
Homer-Center's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for West Shamokin, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Homer-Center came up short against West Shamokin in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 61-49. Can Homer-Center avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
