Charlotte Latin hasn't had much luck against Providence Day recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hawks will look to defend their home field against the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. Charlotte Latin's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Providence Day's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Friday, Charlotte Latin earned a 10-5 win over Union Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Charlotte Latin got a great performance from Jackson Coble as he struck out seven batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Coble has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Avery Booker and Hudson Shoup did most of the damage at the plate: Booker went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run, while Shoup went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Shoup has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Holland, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two runs.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Providence Day's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cannon. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Chargers couldn't push the score so high this time.
Owen Shirey was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, Providence Day saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Yancey, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Charlotte Latin's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Providence Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
Everything went Charlotte Latin's way against Providence Day in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Charlotte Latin made off with an 8-1 win. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
